Which browsers work with PDPworks?

PDPworks supports Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple’s Safari. Older browsers may or may not work. If we didn’t cover your particular browser, please consider upgrading. PDPworks suggests Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome.

How do I determine which browser version I am using?

In all versions of Internet Explorer On the Help menu, select “About Internet Explorer”. The product and version information is displayed in the dialog box that appears.

What is a cookie and how do I clear mine?

A cookie is a small text file, created by your browser, that is kept on your local machine. PDPwork’s cookie contains only a number that links to a secure file on the server. This file keeps you logged in, carries calculation variables and helps build the PDF files.

It may be necessary from time to time to clear this file from your system. To discover how, click on the continue link below, then read the section on your browser of choice.

(Note: Following these instructions will require a re-login into PDPworks.)

Internet Explorer-Option A: Under the Tools pulldown menu, select Internet Options. Select the General tab. Click on the Settings button under the Temporary Internet files header and then the View Settings . . . button. Scroll the Temporary Internet Files window to a file that starts with your windows username and ends in “@pdpworks.com”. Click to select it, right click your mouse and select delete.

Internet Explorer-Option B: Under the Tools pulldown menu, select Internet Options. Select the General tab. Click on the Delete Cookies . . . button under the Temporary Internet files header and click OK on the Delete cookies message that appears (Note: This will delete all the cookies, not just those generated by PDPworks.)

FireFox Windows-Under the Tools pulldown Menu click on Preferences, then select Privacy and click on Cookies. Click on View Cookies, In the list that’s shown scroll to PDPworks.com, click to select it and hit Remove Cookie.

FireFox Mac-Under the Firefox pulldown menu click on Preferences, then select Privacy and click on Cookies. Click on View Cookies, In the list that’s shown scroll to PDPworks.com, click to select it and hit Remove Cookie.

Safari-Under the Safari pulldown menu click on Preferences, click on Security, then click on Show Cookies, In the list that’s shown scroll to .PDPworks.com, click to select it and hit Remove.

How do I set my browser to allow cookies?

If you are having problems and have been directed here or are unsure if you’re setup correctly find your browser of choice below and follow the directions to set your browser to handle cookies.

FireFox for Windows-Under the Tools pulldown menu click on Preferences, then select Privacy and click on Cookies. Check the box next to Allow Sites to Set Cookies.

FireFox for Mac-Under the Firefox pulldown menu click on Preferences, then select Privacy and click on Cookies. Check the box next to Allow Sites to Set Cookies.

Safari-Under the Safari pulldown menu click on Preferences, click on Security, under Allow Cookies select the Always option.

Why am I getting a message that says “Javascript is Required”?

PDPworks requires Javascript be enabled in your browser of choice. For instructions on how to enable Javascript click on the continue link and read the section for your browser of choice .

Internet Explorer-Under the Tools pulldown menu, select Internet Options. Select the Security Tab. Click on the Internet Zone and then the Custom Level Button. Scroll to the Scripting section, and click on the Enable radio button under Active scripting.

Firefox Windows-Under the Tools pulldown menu click on Options, then select Web Features and select Enable Javascript.

FireFox Mac-Under the Firefox pulldown menu click on preferences, then select Web Features and select Enable Javascript.

Safari-Under the Safari pulldown menu click on preferences, click on security, and select Enable Javascript.
