This document describes methods of remote site integration with the 2.0 Version of the PDPworks application. Section 1: Remote Demo Section 2: Remote Report Section 3: Remote Entry Section 4: Remote JDA Section 5: Notes, exceptions and warnings Section 1 ***************** Remote Demo ***************** - PDPworks allows you to harvest information from users on your corporate site and use that information to bypass the demo setup on the PDPworks application site. You may store the information and use it as you see fit, however, please note that you are subject to the PDPworks privacy and confidentiality policies. This system will allow you to harvest more information than is required by PDPworks, it will also attribute the user to your representative account. The system will also respect custom content and application skinning, with the inclusion of the style variable. The demo login requires the following information to continue on to the survey forms, if it is not provided from your site, the user will not bypass the login system. Method: Values must be passed via POST. Target: https://landing.pdpworks.com/user/remote/demo Required Variable names and expected values: Variable Name: repId Expected Value: Your representative id number (####-###, must be preset, see contact info below to discuss) Example: 0000-001 Variable Name: userFirstName Expected Value: The user's first name Example: Larry Variable Name: userLastName Expected Value: The user's last name Example: Tate Variable Name: userEmail Expected Value: The user's fully qualified email address (containing at least one @ and one . symbol) Example: larryTate@tateAssoc.com Variable Name: country Expected Value: The user's country Example: ukraine Optional Variable names and expected values: Variable Name: style Expected Value: your rep style name (must be preset, see contact info below to discuss) Example: RepCompany Variable Name: language Expected Value: The shortened version of the takers language (see contact info to obtain a list) Example: en Section 2 ************** Remote Report (Not yet available in 2.0, see RemoteSite.txt for 1.5 version) ************** -PDPworks allows you to link users remotely into ProScan. This system differs from the Remote Demo in that it requires a client ID number to be passed, that it allows purchase of any "allowed" reports and (currently) does not allow the remote "harvesting" of information. This system DOES NOT log the "linker" into any client tools. The client permissions, settings, pricing and tracking are respected by this system. Requirements: Under client management->view client account->view (beside the client you wish to alter) in the representative tools (or the admin level of the client's corporate information), you must set to allow "Remote Linking". An explanation link is provided to explain the option. Method: Values must be passed via GET. This system differs from the Remote Demo in that it requires a client ID number to be passed and (currently) does not allow the remote "harvesting" of information. It alters from the Remote Client Link in that it does not allow any reports to be purchased, but drops the applicant into a "Thank you" Page, and Emails the address stated in the "email" variable. This system DOES NOT log the "linker" into any client tools. Requirements: Under client management->view client account->view (beside the client you wish to alter) in the representative tools (or the admin level of the client's corporate infomation), you must set to allow "Remote Linking". This system differs from the Remote Entry in that it passes you to a JDA rather than a ProScan. JDA Surveys do not have the option to receive a report. Requirements: Under client management->view client account->view (beside the client you wish to alter) in the representative tools (or the admin level of the client's corporate infomation), you must set to allow "Remote Linking". You are responsible for the use and security of these links. If you are not comfortable allowing Remote Linking, please do not turn it on. When your system is complete and ready to test, please register it with PDPworks by sending an email to support@pdpworks.com, with the subject line stating: Remote Site Register and your rep or client id. This will insure that you will receive updated information if for any means the requirements change, or new services come online.
